SHANNON + JOHN – wedding at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral

What’s the word that best describes Shannon and John’s wedding? FUN! We had so much fun working not only with Shannon and John, but everyone who was apart of their amazing day. Shannon and John kicked off the wedding festivities with a wonderful first look. As a photographer, this is such a fun thing to do with a bride and groom. Some couples have some apprehension about seeing each other before the wedding ceremony, but in this case, Shannon and John were so excited to see each other. It was such a sweet moment, and John was so nervous to see his beautiful bride. Their ceremony was at the stunning Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Downtown Columbia, SC. The architecture of this church was just gorgeous, and we really enjoyed being able to photograph it on such a beautiful day. After a beautiful service, we headed just down the road to the Downtown Clarion Hotel where Shannon, John, and all their family and friends celebrated. Even Cocky made a guest appearance :) We really hope you enjoy all of our favorite moment from their very special day. There are quite a few, but we couldn’t help it! Shannon and John’s love is amazing!!!

You know a couple really loves each other when they root for different football teams Not only different teams, but rival teams. Ashley and Jeremy decided they wanted to include their love of sports into their engagement session, and it was great fun. We loved working with Ashley and Jeremy. EMILY + JOEY – wedding at the Robert Mills Courthouse

Emily and Joey had their “courthouse” wedding at the beautiful and historic Robert Mills Courthouse in Camden, SC. We feel so fortunate to live in Columbia, where there are so many beautiful locations, and beautiful people. We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Shannon on her bridal portraits. Shannon was such a doll, and so sweet, photographing her in her bridal gown was such a treat for us. Thanks Shannon for being such a sweet heart! You have been a joy to work with. JACKIE + LANCE – welcoming wedding and reception in Spring Valley

I think the sign in this first photo says it all. Welcome family and friends. Everything about this wedding was so personal and welcoming Jackie and Lance had their beautiful wedding ceremony at the Spring Valley Presbyterian Church followed by their backyard reception. It was a beautiful day with a beautiful couple. All the details that they worked on were so cute and personal. One of our favorite moments of the day was when their dog came out and joined them on the dance floor during their first dance! We hope you enjoy some of our favorites from the day. MARI-KATE + TIMMY – wedding at Springdale House

There are so many great things about this wedding It was great, awesome, sweet, and filled with wonderful people. We loved working with Mari-Kate and Timmy on their wedding day. It was such a beautiful day, and everything about the wedding was fun and beautiful. Timmy’s dad Donny was their wedding officiant, and the ceremony was perfect, full of heartfelt words, laughs, and only a few tears.

We had the wonderful opportunity to be at Springdale House for both the wedding and reception. We also had a chance to work with Sarah Bennett of Bennett Wedding Directors who did such a great job coordinating the day, along with all those wonderful finishing touches. Lexington Florist did an amazing job on all the bouquets, and Vintage Bakery provided the beautiful and scrumptious cupcakes. Joe from Lake Murray DJ Service kept the reception dancing fun and exciting! (no really….check out the photos)

ALYSSA + CHRIS – engagements at the USC Horseshoe

They say third time’s a charm, and it was for Alyssa and Chris! Alyssa saw us not once, not twice, but three times at different bridal shows. Each time Alyssa put her name in the vase in hopes of winning a free session. The last time, all her hard work payed off. We loved working with Alyssa and Chris on their engagement session. Columbia, SC is such a great city. It’s full of wonderful people and wonderful locations. We had a great time working with Amy and Chris on their engagement photos at the Riverfront Park downtown. Amy and Chris are such a fun loving couple. They love the outdoors, and seem so comfortable together. We had such a great time going all over the park, going down hills, balancing on rocks, climbing stairs….we got a workout let’s just say that We are so excited for their wedding this coming June at Adam’s Pond! It is sure to be a beautiful and amazing day! Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorites from our time with Amy and Chris!!! (they are so cute)

ANGELA + DARREN – engagements in downtown greenville, sc

We love Greenville! It is such a great city, and it is such a treat to go different places and work with our wonderful couples. Angela and Darren were so much fun! We had so much fun working with them, I don’t know that we really wanted to stop Alas, dinner reservations, hunger, exhaustion, and the setting sun all took part in the end of the day. Angela and Darren are an amazing couple, and we can’t wait for their wedding to get here. They are both in the military, and their love for each other just pours out of them. You can see in their smiles that being together is such a joy. And boy does Angela have a gorgeous smile!!! One reason we love engagement sessions is that it is our opportunity to get to know such wonderful people. We found out so many great things about Angela and Darren, and can’t wait to work with them again on their wedding day. It is going to be awesome!
