Addie and Justin went low-country all the way. From their cotton boll boutonnieres, to the ceremony by the water. Their wedding was the perfect Southern affair. Their personalities were so laid-back and easy-going, we had such a great time working with them.  The day was beautiful and you could tell Addie and Justin are the perfect fit. Jeslie was a vision. That's all there is to it. We absolutely loved this wedding. Beautiful people, beautiful place, beautiful love. Now everyone is different. We all have different personalities, actions, reactions, and we all show emotion in different ways. All that being said, no one first look is necessarily better than another. (Here it comes) but...Paul and Jeslie's still takes our breath away. We love how you can see their emotions and it takes us back to that moment when they say each other. 

It was a great day, and they were very loved. You can tell. Just look how many people were photographing during the ceremony ;)

CASEY + DEREK - wedding at San Souci Farm : Columbia, SC wedding photographers

Sans Souki? Sans Sooci?  San Sokie?  Nope...... San Souci. Just like it's spelled :)  We were so excited to work at San Souci Farm out in Sumter, SC. It was such a beautiful setting, and perfect for a fall wedding. Casey and Derek were a bit of an off-beat couple which was such a fun contrast with their setting.  We loved their Otter additions which were just adorable! We had the pleasure of working with some great wedding pros (listed below of course!). It was a sweet day with a really sweet couple.

Want to know the secret to great engagement photos? It's simple and can be summed up into two words. 

Let go. 

Let go of all your worry, stress, and anxiety and enjoy that time with your photographer. If you can do that, you will absolutely nail it :)  Be willing to have fun, try silly things, smile more than you feel is necessary, giggle more than you would normally, and stop thinking about everything you have to get done later that day.  It's all about letting go and enjoying the moment. 

So, now that you've had our engagement lesson, here is a session!  Claudia and Ryan really had fun, really let go, and we think it showed.
