Josh has been a South Carolinian all of his life. I however moved to SC in the summer of 2001. At the time I was mad, homesick for Florida, and swore I would never forgive my parents for moving me from my home and friends. Somedays I long for the smell of oranges all over my fingers (from stuffing my belly full from the 12 citrus trees in out backyard), and the warm breeze that blows off the Gulf. Anger soon faded, I did forgive my parents, and I couldn't be happier to live in SC. Okay so first and foremost if I would have stayed in Florida, I would have never met Josh, and probably would never have become a photographer. Second, I would have missed out on all the fantastic things in this State. Mountains, oceans, peach orchards, and so many other amazing things. We were really excited when Olivia and Ray asked to do their session at the Campbell's covered bridge in the Upstate. It was such a romantic spot. I'll let the photos speak for themselves...
AMY + MIKE + WIKKI - dogs are family too : Columbia, SC Family Photographer
To Amy and Mike, Wikki is one of the family. With her sweet little personality and hilarious facial expressions, how could she not be? We were so excited when our good friend and fabulous stylist Amy asked if we could do portraits for them. We had loads of fun, and Wikki was not at all camera shy.
KRISTIN + JUSTIN - Foggy morning engagement session
Here's the thing. It doesn't always have to be afternoon, and the sun doesn't always have to be shining. We fell in love with Kristin and Justin's foggy morning engagement session on Lake Murray. The dense fog made everything feel more intimate, and clean. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites!
KRISTIN + BOB - engagement session at Saluda Shoals Park
Funny, friendly, and quirky, Kristin and Bob were a blast to work with on their session. It's so much fun to see couples interact and have a great time doing something. Especially so when that something is totally awkward like taking photos together. Yes, taking photos can feel awkward, but usually only in the first 10 minutes. Once you get past that phase, it's laughs, fun, conversation, and typically weird antic-dotes. Here are a few of our favorites from their session.
CELITA + KENNY - family session by the river : Columbia, SC family portraits
It's true. You caught us. We don't do family sessions regularly (unintentionally actually), but we were so thrilled to hear from one of our past couples about photographing their little family. I mean really. This kid is so. stinking. cute. Ugh. So please, enjoy some of there ridiculously adorable images of this ridiculously adorable family.
