Who doesn't love a great park? Sesquicentennial park is a place we've come to love over the years. It has a very quirky summer camp vibe. Almost as if you'll turn you back for a second, only to find a Wes Anderson film happening amongst the colorful kayaks, or very square picnic shelters. It was perfect for Kirby and Alex. They are just so cute. So quirky, So fun. We hope you love some of these images as much as we do.
Josh has been a South Carolinian all of his life. I however moved to SC in the summer of 2001. At the time I was mad, homesick for Florida, and swore I would never forgive my parents for moving me from my home and friends. Somedays I long for the smell of oranges all over my fingers (from stuffing my belly full from the 12 citrus trees in out backyard), and the warm breeze that blows off the Gulf. Anger soon faded, I did forgive my parents, and I couldn't be happier to live in SC. Okay so first and foremost if I would have stayed in Florida, I would have never met Josh, and probably would never have become a photographer. Second, I would have missed out on all the fantastic things in this State. Mountains, oceans, peach orchards, and so many other amazing things. We were really excited when Olivia and Ray asked to do their session at the Campbell's covered bridge in the Upstate. It was such a romantic spot. I'll let the photos speak for themselves...
Are you ready? You may want to sit down because we have something pretty ground breaking to tell you. Okay. Here it goes....
Your photos are allowed to be fun.
There. We said it. You can be as silly, playful, and crazy as you want to be. Just communicate that to us! Dallas and Ryan let us know that they were fun, relaxed, and playful people, so we took that opportunity to do a few things differently with them. Like getting ice cream from http://sweetcreamcompany.com/ on Main Street, oh yeah and having a water balloon fight on the Horseshoe (don't worry, we cleaned it all up). It was the perfect session for them.
Betsy and Tim are just downright cute! We had (I know we say this every time, but hey. We love what we do) a fantastic time working with them while walking around the Vista (it's true!). Betsy and Tim are having their wedding up north, so this was our first time meeting them to do their engagement photos. One of our favorite parts of being a photographer is meeting new people, and learning their stories so that we can tell them just a little bit better. We hope you enjoy these photos because we had a truly great time taking them!
Fall is such a beautiful time of year, and the Columbia, Riverfront Park is one of the best places to capture all the beautiful scenery. We had a great time working with Courtney and David. They are a super sweet couple who are just downright in love. We had so much fun working our way around the park, and capturing some really great photos. We hope you enjoy this set!
