I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss the Lace House. We’ll just have to relive the magical times and photos we had while it was open, and enjoy all the other beautiful gems in Columbia until they finish their renovations!
This wedding day was so dreamy. With a creamy color palette with pops of color, a super sweet ceremony where the flower girl cried tears of joy for her dad who just said “I do”, to a clear tent with cafe lights under the stars. It all makes for a pretty unforgettable day.
So thankful for this sweet couple trusting us with their day, and to the team of creatives who made it all happen.
Say what you want, but for the the State House never gets old.
There are so many ways to photograph couples here! Light and airy. Dark and moody, and sometimes you don’t even know you’re at the State House at all!

Sometimes everything goes according to plan. Sometimes the weather shows a 20% chance of rain, but doesn’t specify that it could be a huge dark ominous cloud that contains torrential rain and lightning. Thank goodness this sweet couple was gracious enough to roll with the punches the weather threw at us. We managed to get a few minutes of photos in before the storm, but then ran up the white flag, and rescheduled. I’m so glad we did through because our second date was absolutely beautiful.
The wedding at Oakbrook Farm was truly memorable. As the couple exchanged vows in the enchanting outdoor setting, their sweet dog stood faithfully by their side, adding an extra touch of love and warmth to the ceremony. However, it was the grandmothers, who took on the role of flower girls, that truly stole the show. Their beaming smiles throwing petals down the aisle touched everyone in stitches. To top off the day of happiness and laughter, our horse that joined us for portraits got a little hungry, and decided to snack on Ashley’s bouquet.
The day could not have been more loving and fun!
