Rachel and RJ have such a love for Asheville, so much so it’s where they decided to tie the knot. The Venue in downtown Asheville hosted both their wedding and reception. We loved working with these two on their day! Here are just a few of our favorites.

Shannon + Clint - Wedding at Glassy Chapel
Shannon and Clint could not have chosen more beautiful locations. If you’ve never had the chance to visit Hotel Domestique, you need to go right now. It’s a boutique hotel just outside of Greenville, SC. While it’s not much out of the way, you’ll feel as though you’ve journeyed to a french estate. We started the day there with a sweet first look, and light and airy portraits. I think the only place that could top our starting point would be The Cliffs at Glassy Chapel. With a beautiful ceremony, and sunset portraits overlooking South Carolina’s upstate, it was a perfect day.
LAURA + ION - wedding at the Crest Center : Asheville, NC wedding photographers
Let me just start by saying, we love Asheville. We fell in love when we took a spur of the moment getaway weekend with our daughter Caroline. The charm of the mountains, and the luring Biltmore House made us fall in love. After our first visit, we were so happy to book a wedding in Asheville. Laura and Ion - world travelers, great people, and party aficionado. The best word to sum up their wedding day is - fun. We had fun, they had fun, everyone just had fun. It was a wonderful celebration of two people, two families, and two cultures coming together. Laura and Ion chose the wonderful Crest Center Pavilion for their wedding and reception. It was a gorgeous venue by itself, but was made even more so by the fantastic colors of the changing leaves. Another thing we loved about this wedding was the design. Laura and Ion created a one of a kind Rock n' Roll wedding. Records as chargers, albums for table markers, and concert tickets as escort cards. It was awesome. All the details were wonderfully original. Another fun part of the day was getting to play elementary school P.E. class with the bride, groom, bridal party....oh yeah and a parachute. Laura and Ion expressed their desire for something different and a far cry from traditional group shots. One of the groomsmen and cousin is a elementary school P.E. teacher and was super excited to bring the parachute along for some really fun photos. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from this amazing wedding, and delightful couple!
(oh and don't miss the shot of Josh showing Laura some of the images from earlier in the day :) )
MEGAN + JESS - wedding at Chattooga Belle Farm
Megan and Jess had a one-of-a-kind wedding and venue, because they are a one-of-a-kind couple. Both Americans, both teaching in China :) They were married at the breathtaking Chattooga Belle Farm with the mountains as their backdrop. Surrounded by vineyards, peach orchards, family, and friends, their wedding was a beautiful day. Megan and Jess were so excited to be getting married. All of the decorations and details, were done by Megan and their family. Wine bottles marked the tables, along with gerber daisies. Red was their main color to represent China, where they met and lived. Favors were cute Chinese boxes with fortune cookies of course! Megan and Jess love color which matches their bold and wonderful personalities so perfectly. Megan and Jess wanted to do a few photos together before the ceremony, but wanted to keep with tradition of not seeing each other. We came up with the fun idea to have them back to back right next to the grape vines. They loved being able to hold hands, and we loved being able to capture the sweet moments between the two before their ceremony. This was actually a special day for us as it marked our 5th year together as husband and wife. While we didn't get to celebrate, we had the opportunity to capture Megan and Jess ejoying their first day together. We hope they have many wonderful, happy years together! We hope you enjoy some of our favorites from their incredible day!
