This couple was so fun. Rachel put so much thought an effort into her wedding day, it was fun just watching her face light up when she would see all her details and planning actually come to life. Spring Lake Pavilion is such a neat little venue, we were happy to be able to shoot there again. We loved so many details about their day, but one of my personal favorites was her dress. Rachel looked stunning in a simple but so very elegant pure white gown, and her belt (which cause a little panic when it got left at her house) was the perfect addition. Here are just a few of our favorites!

RACHEL + KYLE - wedding in Seneca, SC : South Carolina wedding photographers
Rachel and Kyle are such a sweet couple. After talking with them both Josh and I knew their story was very familiar. Just like Rachel and Kyle, we were married at a young age. And by young I mean both parties could not yet legally purchase alcohol. I told Rachel what I wished someone had said to me when I was getting ready to walk down the isle and marry my love. I told her that they could experience life together as a married couple. That she didn't have to be single just to enjoy life. We were so thrilled to be part of their day, and it was such a special one at that. These families are near and dear to us personally, so being there to capture it all was a joy. So many happy tears that day.
SARAH + PAN - wedding at St. Simon and St. Jude & Lace House : Columbia, SC wedding photography
We've already had the fantastic pleasure of sharing Sarah and Pan's Cambodian wedding on our blog, and now it's time for their American wedding! Sarah and Pan were married at Sarah's home church of The Episcopal Church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Irmo, SC. Their reception followed at the beautiful Lace House. Sarah's stunning reception was spread along the mall of the Governors mansion grounds. Open air and cafe lights set such a romantic tone for their evening. Meagan Warren Weddings did a fabulous job adorning the tables with beautiful place settings and elegant bud vases. We just loved all the sophisticated elements that Sarah and Pan included in their day. One of my favorites was their cake! Covered in gold glitter and topped with a NYC taxi, their cake was a fantastic element and homage to their new home of NYC. The whole day was a wonderful blend of North and South. Here are a few of our favorites that we hope you enjoy! Special thanks to a great team of people who all played great parts in their day.

MEGAN + JESS - wedding at Chattooga Belle Farm
Megan and Jess had a one-of-a-kind wedding and venue, because they are a one-of-a-kind couple. Both Americans, both teaching in China :) They were married at the breathtaking Chattooga Belle Farm with the mountains as their backdrop. Surrounded by vineyards, peach orchards, family, and friends, their wedding was a beautiful day. Megan and Jess were so excited to be getting married. All of the decorations and details, were done by Megan and their family. Wine bottles marked the tables, along with gerber daisies. Red was their main color to represent China, where they met and lived. Favors were cute Chinese boxes with fortune cookies of course! Megan and Jess love color which matches their bold and wonderful personalities so perfectly. Megan and Jess wanted to do a few photos together before the ceremony, but wanted to keep with tradition of not seeing each other. We came up with the fun idea to have them back to back right next to the grape vines. They loved being able to hold hands, and we loved being able to capture the sweet moments between the two before their ceremony. This was actually a special day for us as it marked our 5th year together as husband and wife. While we didn't get to celebrate, we had the opportunity to capture Megan and Jess ejoying their first day together. We hope they have many wonderful, happy years together! We hope you enjoy some of our favorites from their incredible day!
