Emma + Jennings- Engagement Session at the West Columbia Riverwalk

The West Columbia Riverwalk is always a beautiful spot. Long winding paths that curve along the river and under the Gervais Street Bridge make not only a great spot for photos, but a lovely place to be. What you may not know is that there is about a two week window right around late March when the Riverwalk reaches it’s peak in the beauty department. Planted along the wooden breezeway is one of my favorite plants, the lady banks rose. This particular rose bush has no thorns, it considered a rambler (not a bush, but not exactly a climber either) and blooms only once every year. Although the blooming season is short, it really knows how to make a show. The beautiful plant bursts with yellow puffs of frills and the sweetest scent making the breezeway even more magical. We were thrilled when Emma and Jennings scheduled their session here and I probably talked too much about the roses, but there you have it. If you’re in Columbia in March, make sure you take a minute to stop and smell the roses :)
