Inspiration time. This was another collaboration effort between us and the talented Jamie Tran of Eyebrowjunkie.com. We loved coming up with this concept from the initial idea, to bringing everything together. Check it out!
Every once in a while, we get the chance to do something that is totally ours. From concept, to creation, we are in control and really get to explore without the pressure of what we are doing being a job. This was our first styled shoot, and collaboration with the amazing Jamie Tran of Eyebrow Junkie Makeup Artistry (eyebrowjunkie.com). We really wanted to do a beauty look with May (our model) and Jamie did a wonderful job of giving May that dewy glow all over. We used several different lighting setups throughout this shoot, and enjoyed exploring. As usual, here are a few of our favorites!
Jamie Tran is one of our favorite people. It's just a fact. We first met Jamie back in 2010 as she was doing the bridal makeup for one of our brides. Jamie is a super talented makeup artist who has started her own business as Eyebrow Junkie Makeup Artistry. We not only love working with Jamie as a talented artist, but we loved working with her and her sweet family for their family photos. Here are of course a few of our favorites from their session. Fall and Spring are the two most popular times of the year for family sessions. There is always a wonderful rush of business and inquiries in the Fall as all the leaves start to change colors, and families want to capture the beauty of it all in their family portraits. We had the great opportunity to work with Sarah of Bennett Wedding Directors and her husband Josh. Sarah and Josh were getting ready to welcome their sweet baby girl into the world, and wanted to capture that special time with maternity photos, without doing the traditional style session. Here are just a few of our favorites from our time with Sarah, Josh, and baby Bennett. Enjoy!
After 3 months in our studio, we finally got around to taking some photos of it. Located in the Vista in downtown Columbia, SC, our space is one big room with a lot of character. It is about 1000 sq.ft. that we have loosely divided into a meeting space and actual photo studio. Though we don't hold normal business hours since we could be away shooting at any given time during the week, we are in the studio a lot during the week for meetings, studio shoots, and post processing work. It is always nice to get out of the house and this is a great place to be during the day. With the studio comes new work and we are quickly getting into headshots, studio portraiture, and newborn portraits. We love lighting and for us this is the perfect setting to have fun and explore lighting in a controlled setting, so be on the lookout for some cool new studio work from us!
