We were first introduced to Leslie and brad when we shot Brad's sister's wedding in July. It was such a compliment when Leslie called to see if we could do photos for them. We always love when people we've had a chance to interact with call us for themselves. Leslie and Brad were just the sweetest people, and we absolutely loved working with them. And no, there were no snakes.
Sometimes photographing couples for their engagement session is almost like working with old friends. And that's the way we like it. We had the great opportunity to photograph Emilee's brother's wedding a few years ago, so coming together for her wedding was almost like a fun reunion. Emilee and Price were so much fun together it made our time with them even better. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites!
Working with small business owners is a fantastic thing. For us it's working with peers, working with people who are putting all of themselves out there, no holds barred, get things done, and hustle. It's pretty fantastic. Also fantastic is Courtney. We were excited for her brand and direction she wanted her photos. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites.

What do we love about photos? So many things of course, but first and foremost has to be a real genuine moment. A look. A fraction of a second where two people look real. That moment that you can feel when you look at a photo. We had so much fun with Georgia and Cameron. Helping make real moments. If you work with us on an engagement session we'll tell you straight up. We'll take you 90% of the way. We need you to go the final 10% to make it great. You can keep the contrived signs. You can keep the cheesy sayings. They're fun. People like them. But it's not what we love. This engagement session brought out some things we really love, and we're so excited to share them with you.
And no. The lens flare was not added or enhanced in Photoshop.
Horses and puppies and barns. Just a few things that make an engagement session in the country so much fun. When we pulled up to the barn and saw Ashley's horse Tucker I literally did a double take at his eyes. They were wide open and steel blue. Then I immediately pulled my phone out to google "horse eye" to make sure of two things. #1 that I wasn't going crazy, and #2 that I hadn't been living a lie about how horses eyes looked. Turns out I'm not crazy (in this instance) and that I have not been living a lie (in regards to the aesthetics of a horse).
