Giraffes, ice cream, and a carousel all made for a fun time with Shelby and Tyler for their engagement session. We enjoyed getting to know this fun couple while we worked our way through the beautiful Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens.
Ashleigh and Evan are such a fun couple. We loved working with them on their engagement session and we loved even more that they let us be weird :) . They were up for every crazy location and idea we had which made for a really fun time gallivanting around Main Street. Their session was a great example of how you don't have to bring tons of props and outfits to have a good time and great session. Of course we've preached it in the past, but if props just aren't your personality, let's just go out and have fun.
We love being able to shoot sessions on locations that are special to the couple. Any time we have a client that has land or even just a spot that is special to them, we love using that for their session. In this case, we had the opportunity to shoot at Monica's parent's farm! We had a great time despite the very stubborn horses who wanted nothing to do with photos, and everything to do with the fresh tender grass in the field. We always say animals are unpredictable, but fun to work with. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites!
It's all about being comfortable not being comfortable. Read it again and say it to yourself. It's all about being comfortable not being comfortable. Now repeat this to yourself at least an hour a day for a week before your engagement session :) Now you are ready to begin :) How do we get those dreamy intimate shots of couples cuddling in a field? It's not all about the lighting, it's not all about the posing, it's all about getting your two people who love each other to make a connection even for the briefest of moments. It's about getting them to be comfortable while doing something uncomfortable.

Laughing is one of our top favorite things. Whether it is making chicken noises with our four year old sweetie, random beatbox concerts from across the room, or just being goofy in general, laughter is a huge part of who we are. We love to laugh, and thankfully so do Marcy and Brian. They had us laughing the whole time. We hope you enjoy their photos (especially the silly ones!).
