DISNEY - 2016

Okay by now if you follow us, you're probably familiar with our annual trek to Disney in August. It's become a family tradition that we share with my parents and Josh's brother. Every year we ask ourselves "Are we going back?". The answer is always yes. We just can't help it. It really is the happiest place on Earth.

So without further adieu, here's a few of our photos along with the requisite video masterpiece from Josh!

10 Years - A trip to Maui

Hawaii has always been a dream destination of mine. Hiking to waterfalls and basically living off of pineapple was what I dreamed about and assumed was exactly what happens in Hawaii. Like I'm sure so many people, I had more of less written off basking in the white sands, driving with the windows down, and seeing those amazing waterfalls first hand. After all, Hawaii was just so far away. The plane tickets, the hotel, the rental. It was all just too much. Fate had something else in mind.

My Grandmother passed unexpectedly in 2016. The last big thing my she did before she passed was to take a trip to Hawaii with a friend. She was there for a month, and I wish I could have talked to her more about it all. She left behind a little inheritance for me and I just had no idea what to do with it. I wanted to do something meaningful. As my Aunt told me, "Your Grandma left this for you as a gift. She wanted you to have something 'On her'.  I'm sure you've guessed, but I decided the best way to honor her and the gift she gave was to do something I never thought possible, but also to experience something that she did almost as if she were there with me.

So, If you're crying like me, grab you a tissue and strap in for some fun photos to get all the feels out and relive how we did Maui.

We're going to California

When Caroline was turning four we decided. No more parties. No more big birthday gift that will get left behind and forgotten. Outgrown. Wasted. We're going to spend that money elsewhere, and experience this great big world with the most important person on this earth to us. Our girl. So here it was. Her birthday trip to California. What a trip! Complete with many up, and just a few downs. Like getting lost on Old La Honda Rd. (seriously. Google that mess and take a trip via street view. I promise your palms will start sweating). The same day we traveled all the way to Pfieffer Beach. Well...almost. We literally made it all the way to the road that lead to the famous sun portal and were stopped by a road block. The beach was closed from flooding. It was a bit of a heartbreaking moment actually. To have flown literally across the country, and driven hours just to see this bit of earth only to be forced to turn back. We did what we could and made the best of the rest of the day.

The rest of our trip was full of bo lo baau, food, sights, bo lo baau, not seeing the golden gate bridge because of the dense fog, wandering around the Lucas films building, and some more bo lo baau.

By far our favorite part of the trip was discovering shark fin cove. Just a few minutes north of Santa Cruz down a steep climb right off the road was this magical place. We would have never found it had it not been for the awesome hotel desk guy. Thank you guy. We spent over an hour exploring, staring, and running from the water as we tried to get closer and closer into the cove. Caroline was trying to be sneaky and line her pockets with rocks, while we tried to pretend we didn't see what she was doing.

A condensed collection for your viewing pleasure. Thanks Cali.

OUR DISNEY TRIP 2014

It's become a bit of a tradition at this point. Every year towards the end of the Summer or beginning of Fall, we go to Disney. It's such a great time for us to spend with out little one playing, laughing, and seeing the magic all over again through her. So, without further ado, here's a little glimpse into our personal lives :) Hope you enjoy the video as Josh loves making it!

TRAVEL - Disney Trip 2013 "ride video!"

Where do we vacation? Disney World of course! Last year was pretty epic and we are counting down the days till our next trip. Till then, enjoy this quirky video complete with Joshua, Aaron, Caroline, Justin, Mom, and Dad. And we're apparently the best parents ever (sarcasm) for taking our 5 year old on Tower of Terror. That's right. Have height, will ride :) All filmed with a GoPro Hero 3.
