Rain on your wedding day is about the top 5 most dreaded (or maybe even higher) problems that can happen for a bride. So much work and preparation has gone into the day and the last thing you want is it all to go to waste if you can't even be outside. That's where we come in. Even in the rain, thunder, fog, we can always make something work. Ashleigh and Evan's wedding venue was just stunning, even in the rain. The dog and haze rolling over the hills was so beautiful, and the rain let up just in time to do photos and have a beautiful ceremony in their open air chapel. We were so happy to work with this fun couple who by the way, Rick Rolled their own first dance. We hope you enjoy a few (or a lot) of our favorites from the day!

ERIN + BRAD - Rainy Wedding at Stone River : Columbia, SC Wedding Photography
Erin and Brad were unstoppable on their wedding day. It may not have felt like it to them, but it's the truth. For us the most memorable part of their wedding day wasn't just that it rained, but how they handled it with such grace. Erin and Brad had their wedding and ceremony at the beautiful Stone River. Every detail was perfect, and had so much of Erin's personal charm thrown in that they had a guaranteed hit right from the start. I think a brides worst fear is either tripping going down the isle OR it raining. As the wind picked up, and the rain started falling right in the middle of the ceremony, there was simply a quick change where everyone in the bridal party and family moved to the shelter of the pavilion, and kept on going. No tantrums, only a little chaos, and lots of big smiles from everyone made for a flawless ceremony. It was a beautiful day filled with so much love.

LAUREN + BRANDON - wedding at the Westin Resort : Savannah, GA Wedding Photographers
We were so excited to work with Lauren and Brandon. There are some people the first time you meet, you know it's a good thing. This was the way it was with Lauren. Our first meeting was with Lauren and her mom, and we couldn't be more excited to work with them. Lauren and Brandon's love for each other is so sweet, you can't keep a smile off your face. I wouldn't be surprised if they never had any arguments they are both so easy going. Their wedding was at the beautiful Westin Resort overlooking the Savannah River. The ceremony was originally planned to take place out on the lawn right next to the river, but the weather had different plans. After a beautiful morning, the rain finally came, and the wedding was moved inside to one of the ballrooms. Did Lauren cry? Goodness no. In fact, nothing could dampen their spirits. Lauren was more concerned about her guests being comfortable than trying to have her wedding outside. It was really an amazing moment that put everyone at ease. We all knew that Lauren and Brandon were more focused on getting married, than where they were getting married. Here are some of our favorites from their wedding day. You might notice, that Lauren, Brandon, and all their family and friends are rather...athletic :) Cheerleaders to be exact. Amazing cheerleaders. At one point Josh turned to me and said "I felt like I was in a room with super heroes or something". Be sure to check out some of the amazing things we were able to capture. From mid air running front flips, a father daughter dance turned wobble, some serious swing dancing, and portraits in the rain, it was truly an amazing day. Oh yeah...and who get's a rainbow on their wedding day? These kids.
Congratulations Lauren and Brandon!!!
