We love doing multiple weddings for families. It's so much fun for us to be able to come back together with a family and photograph another child getting married. It's like a mini reunion for us. We were so excited to hear from Ashley after she got engaged. We shot he sister Amy's wedding back in 2009 and it was one of our very first paid assignments. We owe so much to Amy, Brandon, and their family :) Here are just a few of our favorites from Ashley and Andy's beautiful winter wedding. We hope you enjoy!

LAURA + ION - wedding at the Crest Center : Asheville, NC wedding photographers
Let me just start by saying, we love Asheville. We fell in love when we took a spur of the moment getaway weekend with our daughter Caroline. The charm of the mountains, and the luring Biltmore House made us fall in love. After our first visit, we were so happy to book a wedding in Asheville. Laura and Ion - world travelers, great people, and party aficionado. The best word to sum up their wedding day is - fun. We had fun, they had fun, everyone just had fun. It was a wonderful celebration of two people, two families, and two cultures coming together. Laura and Ion chose the wonderful Crest Center Pavilion for their wedding and reception. It was a gorgeous venue by itself, but was made even more so by the fantastic colors of the changing leaves. Another thing we loved about this wedding was the design. Laura and Ion created a one of a kind Rock n' Roll wedding. Records as chargers, albums for table markers, and concert tickets as escort cards. It was awesome. All the details were wonderfully original. Another fun part of the day was getting to play elementary school P.E. class with the bride, groom, bridal party....oh yeah and a parachute. Laura and Ion expressed their desire for something different and a far cry from traditional group shots. One of the groomsmen and cousin is a elementary school P.E. teacher and was super excited to bring the parachute along for some really fun photos. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from this amazing wedding, and delightful couple!
(oh and don't miss the shot of Josh showing Laura some of the images from earlier in the day :) )
COREY + ERIC - amazing wedding at 701 Whaley : Columbia, SC wedding photorgaphers
For Corey and Eric, having a wedding that was anything short of fabulous was just not an option. And let us tell you, their wedding was FABULOUS! One of our big roles at the beginning of the day is we like to try and keep our couples and bridal parties as on time and calm as possible. Well, we did manage to stay on time, and the rest is history :) But it all fit so well with everyone's personality, I think somehow the chaos was just perfect. Everyone was loud, in charge, and so happy and excited they just couldn't stand it I think. The wedding ceremony was just beautiful too. Melanie Murphy and her team over at By Invitation Only did an incredible job throughout the entire event. The ceremony was held at 701 Whaley in one of the smaller ballrooms. Vines wrapped the beams, candles and lanterns hung from the ceiling, and the chuppah was just breathtaking. Candles weren't the only thing hanging from the ceiling. Corey and Eric's SUSPENDED cake was a first. I think every guest took a picture of it because it was just so spectacular! Parkland outdid themselves on the cake, and the presentation by Melanie and the girls was one of a kind. The details were grand and the party was unforgettable at this wonderful wedding. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites from not only an amazing wedding, but most importantly an amazing couple. Congratulations Corey and Eric!

SYDNEY + PHILLIP - wedding at the Upcountry History Museum : Greenville, SC wedding photographers
Sydney and Phillip wanted to fun, elegant, and laid back wedding which matched perfect with their personalities. We had the wonderful opportunity to work with them on their engagement session too which is always nice for us. It makes the wedding day more of a reunion. We get to know our couple better, and have a more relaxing time on the day of the wedding. It's funny because Sydney warned us that she would need some calming and coaching to get through the day and not try to take charge of anything. It turned out she was a perfect bride :) The whole day went smoothly, and everything was fabulous. We loved all the great little details that Sydney added into her wedding. From the flower piece she wore in her hair, to the adorable flower girl dresses; everything just made you smile :) Another fun thing that Sydney did was a first look with her dad. It was a really great moment as her dad had not seen her in her dress yet. It was great to be there for that :) All night long it was a great party and we loved capturing it. Sydney was very, what we call, "camera aware" but we loved catching all of her fun expressions as they enjoyed the evening. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites from the day! Don't miss their kiss. It was pretty awesome. Oh and be sure to check out some vendor love below.
Thanks to the awesome vendors who were a part of the day!

JESSICA + BRIAN - wedding at Senate's End : Columbia, SC wedding photographers
Jessica and Brian are old souls. Everything they had to offer was just a bit different. They had their own flair and we loved every minute of it. As a photographer, sometimes brides ask you very specific and pointed questions. Questions you are not really sure how to answer because in an instant you see two outcomes. One good, and one bad. Jessica, was always the good outcome. While she was getting ready, excitement was just buzzing through her and around the room, she turned to Aaron and said "Does my dress make you think of the little mermaid?" How to answer that question?! I (Aaron) smiled, and said, "It looks lovely. Very different from anything I've yet to see." Jessica responded proudly "I love it! It reminds me of the Little Mermaid mixed with White Christmas!" (a sigh of relief :) ) That really set the tone for the whole day for us. Jessica couldn't have been happier with any aspect of her wedding day....and it showed. I say Jessica and Brian are old souls because of the wonderful thought and detail put into their wedding day. Jessica wore a silver pendant on her wrist. A gift from her grandfather to her grandmother. She even wore her grandmother's veil. She had a style all her own, and everything had a wonderful elegance to it. We had the wonderful opportunity to do a first look with Jessica and Brian. Brian was so excited he turned a whole 20 feet too early, but it was just as sweet and memorable :) Their mass was beautiful and full of their personality. You'll see one of our favorite photos of Jessica, turned around during the ceremony to give her parent's a wink and thumbs up!
The reception was an elegant affair with a first dance that brought the house down. Another thing we love at weddings are surprises during the father daughter dance. Jessica and her dad did not disappoint. With elegant details and fun all around, their reception was a night to remember. We loved being there. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite memories from their day.
