Some small cities in South Carolina are just full of charm. We had the great opportunity to photograph in Camden at the beautiful Bethesda Presbyterian Church and Spingdall Hall Country Club. Both locations were so cute, and the perfect fit for Jessie and Matthews wedding. Right before Jessie was getting ready to walk down the isle that day, we (Aaron and Jessie) got to talking about how beautiful the weather had turned out that day. During those short few minutes, Jessie told me all about how she and Matt had put a ton of thought into choosing the day they wanted to get married. They considered Daylight Savings, the Carolina Cup, what time the sun would be setting ... everything. It was really was such a special moment to hear Jessie talk about all their planning right before walking in to meet her future husband. It really was a beautiful day with a wonderful couple, and great people. We hope you enjoy a few of our favorites from the day.

We loved building our relationship with Alyssa and Chris. She entered not one, but three of our enter win drawings at different bridal shows. No one word described Alyssa and Chris better than cute. We loved being a part of their wedding day. There were so many special moments that honestly made us even have to work to hold back the tears. The moment her dad turned around to see Alyssa in her wedding dress for the first time is beyond words. It was so special, and we were so happy to be there capturing every gasp, smile, and tear. We get requests quite often to set something up where the bride and groom can talk and hold hands either behind a door or around a corner. One thing we loved about their time with this special new tradition is that Chris literally looks like he might just go through the door to see his soon to be wife. You can see the happiness and all the other emotions on their faces. That's what we live for. We love those moments, and are always on the lookout for little nuances between the couple we are photographing. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Paul's where Chris's father is the minister, and also the one who performed their ceremony. After that their reception was at the fantastic Congaree Vista Room at the SC State Museum. We enjoy some of our favorites from their day!

We love doing multiple weddings for families. It's so much fun for us to be able to come back together with a family and photograph another child getting married. It's like a mini reunion for us. We were so excited to hear from Ashley after she got engaged. We shot he sister Amy's wedding back in 2009 and it was one of our very first paid assignments. Let me just start by saying, we love Asheville. We fell in love when we took a spur of the moment getaway weekend with our daughter Caroline. The charm of the mountains, and the luring Biltmore House made us fall in love. After our first visit, we were so happy to book a wedding in Asheville. Laura and Ion - world travelers, great people, and party aficionado. The best word to sum up their wedding day is - fun. We had fun, they had fun, everyone just had fun. It was a wonderful celebration of two people, two families, and two cultures coming together. Laura and Ion chose the wonderful Crest Center Pavilion for their wedding and reception. It was a gorgeous venue by itself, but was made even more so by the fantastic colors of the changing leaves. Another thing we loved about this wedding was the design. Laura and Ion created a one of a kind Rock n' Roll wedding. Records as chargers, albums for table markers, and concert tickets as escort cards. It was awesome. All the details were wonderfully original. Another fun part of the day was getting to play elementary school P.E. class with the bride, groom, bridal party....oh yeah and a parachute. Laura and Ion expressed their desire for something different and a far cry from traditional group shots. One of the groomsmen and cousin is a elementary school P.E. teacher and was super excited to bring the parachute along for some really fun photos. For Corey and Eric, having a wedding that was anything short of fabulous was just not an option. And let us tell you, their wedding was FABULOUS! One of our big roles at the beginning of the day is we like to try and keep our couples and bridal parties as on time and calm as possible. Well, we did manage to stay on time, and the rest is history :) But it all fit so well with everyone's personality, I think somehow the chaos was just perfect. Everyone was loud, in charge, and so happy and excited they just couldn't stand it I think. The wedding ceremony was just beautiful too. Melanie Murphy and her team over at By Invitation Only did an incredible job throughout the entire event. The ceremony was held at 701 Whaley in one of the smaller ballrooms. Vines wrapped the beams, candles and lanterns hung from the ceiling, and the chuppah was just breathtaking. Candles weren't the only thing hanging from the ceiling. Corey and Eric's SUSPENDED cake was a first. I think every guest took a picture of it because it was just so spectacular! Parkland outdid themselves on the cake, and the presentation by Melanie and the girls was one of a kind. The details were grand and the party was unforgettable at this wonderful wedding.
