Another cozy winter wedding means more beautiful winter light, lush whites and greens, first looks, and a fabulous fur wrap.
There’s also something really special about working with a client throughout the whole wedding process, meaning engagements to wedding day. Kristin and Tyler had a fabulous day, and we were grateful to be part of their story!
Columbia is such a gem for session locations. It’s an old city that’s ever changing and evolving. 7+ years ago, I’m not sure I’d recommend a session on Main Street but today, it’s definitely top of my list.

Lace House
Well, this was our first official wedding back after the shutdown. I remember being so excited and relieved that things might actually start back for us. It had been weeks, and then months of cancellations, reschedules, phone calls, and lots of tears. For Dani and Sean, we charged the batteries, packed the boxes, and masked up because nothing was going to stop this wedding. This is also the wedding I learned that breathing hot Summer South Carolina air was even harder in a mask. We took breaks. We drank as much water as possible. I sweat a lot. I’m so glad this wedding happened.
I’m still unendingly grateful for our couples that stuck it out, made it happened, rescheduled, and kept us on to photograph their love stories. Covid hurt everyone, but seeing love win was something that will stick with me forever.

Boy do Iove a flowy veil. Why you might think it’s unruly, I think that thin beautiful fabric blowing around couldn’t be more beautiful. Sure, there’s something to be said of “perfect” portrait, but I always feel like the phrase “perfectly imperfect” fits better into my mindset :)
