So last time we blogged we posted about having fun during your engagement session. Here's another bombshell. Ready?

Your engagement session does NOT have to take place during the "golden hour". Natalie came to us wanting something really different for her session with her soon-to-be. She wanted beautiful commercial style engagement photos. So...we shot them at night! We love using off camera lighting. It's always a challenge and we love to push ourselves. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites from their session!

Your photos are allowed to be fun. 

There. We said it. You can be as silly, playful, and crazy as you want to be. Just communicate that to us! Dallas and Ryan let us know that they were fun, relaxed, and playful people, so we took that opportunity to do a few things differently with them. Like getting ice cream from  http://sweetcreamcompany.com/ on Main Street, oh yeah and having a water balloon fight on the Horseshoe (don't worry, we cleaned it all up). It was the perfect session for them.

Malynn and Austin's wedding day was perfectly simple, sweet, an romantic. Getting ready at families house, photos on the families land, and wedding at their old church made it all so perfect. I could not have imagined any other type of wedding day for Malynn and Austin. They were both so wonderful to work with, and we loved everything about their day. ASHLEY + ERIC - wedding at St. Peter's and the Museum of Art : Columbia, SC wedding photographers

Ashley and Eric were married at the beautiful St. Peter's church in Downtown Columbia. Every time we visit this church I'm reminded just how beautiful it is. After their afternoon ceremony, their reception was at the lovely Museum of Art. Ashley and Eric had such a lovely day, and we were so very happy to be part of it. They were so welcoming, and made us feel like part of the family. Hope you enjoy some of our favorites!

RACHEL + KYLE - wedding in Seneca, SC : South Carolina wedding photographers

Rachel and Kyle are such a sweet couple. After talking with them both Josh and I knew their story was very familiar.  Just like Rachel and Kyle, we were married at a young age. And by young I mean both parties could not yet legally purchase alcohol. I told Rachel what I wished someone had said to me when I was getting ready to walk down the isle and marry my love. I told her that they could experience life together as a married couple. That she didn't have to be single just to enjoy life.  We were so thrilled to be part of their day, and it was such a special one at that. These families are near and dear to us personally, so being there to capture it all was a joy.  So many happy tears that day.
